Dear Parent/Guardian: The purpose of this letter is to inform you of an event that occurred at the junior-senior high school today, Thursday, September 12, 2019.

A graduate of Fallsburg Central High School in 1968, Lester Cohen received a B.S. and M.S, in Civil Engineering at Boston’s Northeastern University.

Students in grades 4-12 who who wish to be added to the 2019-2020 Fallsburg Robotics Team should complete an application and team contract. These forms need to be returned to Mr. Thomas at the Fallsburg Jr./Sr. High School. Spots are limited, and must be earned.

Fallsburg Jr/Sr High School has been actively involved in Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Teachers (TSTT) for over ten years. Four of the graduates of this program that encourages young people to go into teaching and possibly come back to teach at their own high school are proud to have been hired in the FCSD over the past three years. At the Awards Brunch for the Mid-Hudson Valley Region on May 9, 2019 one of these graduates, English as a New Language Teacher Ms. Isabel Mejia, spoke about TSTT helping her to fulfill the dream of teaching seventh grade at her alma mater.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Fallsburg Central School District, Sullivan and Ulster counties, will begin the 30 day public comment period for the Code of Conduct and District Wide Safety Plan on June 2, 2019. Dear School Community Member: Last night (May 20, 2019) we received a report that one of our students made a threat on a school bus. School administrators and the Fallsburg Police Department investigated the report and found that the threat was not credible. Harris, NY – Catskill Regional Medical Center will host a screening of the film “Screenagers” during Screen Free Week. The film will be shown on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at SUNY Sullivan’s Seelig Theater located at 112 College Road in Loch Sheldrake, NY. The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) is pleased to announce that Suzanne M. Lendzian, Director of Physical Education & Athletics at Fallsburg Central School District, has been recognized by this association as a Certified Athletic Administrator.

BCES Trail Receives Another Donation from The Center for Discovery Picture: Cetner of Discovery Presents Check for BCES Hiking TrailOn January 4, 2019 The Center for Discovery Integrated Arts Department (TCFD) presented a $2,000 check to a grateful Benjamin Cosor Elementary School (BCES) teacher Mrs. Leah Exner to support the Hiking Trail recently completed behind the Fallsburg school. Petitions nominating candidates for the office of member of the Board of Education of the Fallsburg School District will be available in the Central Office on Monday, March 11, 2019 between the hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Fallsburg High School Girl Powered team 99561G wowed the judges at the Lansingburg BOTS TAKE THE BURGH competition on Saturday, January 26 and earned the prestigious "Design Award" and a trip to the NYS Championship
