Fallsburg Students SOAR! PBIS Team Celebrates Student Growth and Achievement
At Fallsburg Central School District, success isn't just about where you finish. It's about how far you've come!
Students at Fallsburg Junior-Senior High School were recently recognized during a special SOAR Awards celebration, honoring their hard work, perseverance, and personal growth.
Presented by the school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team, SOAR stands for Students On A Roll. These teacher-nominated awards recognize students who have demonstrated significant improvement, highlighting the dedication and effort they have put into their educational journeys.
The celebration brought students, educators, and district leadership together to recognize achievements that extend beyond traditional academic milestones.
Superintendent Dr. Ivan Katz, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Sharkey, Principal Shana Bruestle, and Assistant Principal Samantha Lefberg attended the ceremony, offering words of encouragement and expressing their pride in the students' accomplishments. District and school leaders also helped present the awards to the honorees.
Each student received a certificate of recognition and a Fallsburg water bottle, followed by a celebratory lunch featuring pizza, pasta, and salad.
The SOAR Awards serve as an important reminder that progress comes in many forms. Whether overcoming challenges, developing stronger habits, or demonstrating a renewed commitment to learning, every step forward deserves recognition.
By celebrating improvement, the PBIS team encourages students to recognize their potential, take pride in their accomplishments, and continue striving toward their goals.
